CMWU completed the project to construct "Darb Al-Khair" water well in Al-Furqan 2 neighborhood in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, funded by Qatar Charity and in cooperation with the Palestinian Water Authority, in order to improve the water services provided to the residents of Al-Furqan 2 neighborhood, particularly with the approaching summer season and increased water consumption by residents, as the new well will serve about 2,500 people, and it will also be connected during the coming period to the Saudi reservoir, which will increase the number of residents benefiting from the well.

It is worth noting that CMWU carries out, throughout the year and before the onset of the summer season, numerous maintenance and rehabilitation projects for various water wells and well-based desalination plants in various areas of the Gaza Strip, in order to improve the water supplies provided to the Strip's residents, in cooperation with the municipalities of the Gaza Strip and funded by numerous international organizations working in the water and sanitation sector.
