Beginning Implementation of Phase Two of the Development Project for Ibn Taymiyyah Desalination Plant in Al-Brazil Neighborhood, Rafah

CMWU, funded by and in partnership with Human Appeal "Britain", began implementing Phase Two of the project to develop Ibn Taymiyyah desalination plant in Al-Brazil neighborhood in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.
This phase includes developing and increasing the plant's production capacity to 2,400 cubic meters per day, enabling it to serve 60,000 residents, and securing their needs of desalinated water, particularly amid the difficult conditions experienced by the Strip's residents.
It is worth noting that Phase Two includes supplying and installing a new desalination stage, in addition to all the electromechanical and structural works needed to operate the plant optimally, in addition to extending a transmission line to deliver desalinated water to the targeted neighborhoods.
Phase One included drilling a water well with a capacity of 80 cubic meters per hour to supply the plant with water, in addition to all the necessary electromechanical works.
