CMWU, in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council and with German funding, completed the rehabilitation of the Abu Ubaida and Bilal Bin Rabah wells in Beit Lahia, serving about 20,000 people.

The works included comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and civil interventions, including the development of operating and control systems, the rehabilitation of pumping lines and mechanical components, and the construction and equipping of operation rooms, enhancing the wells' operational efficiency and the continuity of water supply.
Each well produces 50 cubic meters per hour and serves about 10,000 people, contributing to improving water services and strengthening their reach to citizens.
This project is being implemented in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), and in cooperation with Beit Lahia Municipality.
