CMWU, in partnership with the Haifa Palestinian Family Care Association, completed the construction of a water desalination plant in Abasan Al-Kabira area, Khan Younis governorate.
It is worth noting that the project is funded by Interpal at a total cost estimated at about $43,000, and involves supplying and installing a water desalination plant for Abasan Al-Kabira water well, with a production capacity reaching 80 cubic meters daily, with all the mechanical and electrical connections needed for the plant, with the project also including supplying the plant with an external unit for filling desalinated water (dispensers) to cover residents' daily needs of drinking water, with the number of beneficiaries from the plant estimated at about 15,000 people, and the plant currently operates with high efficiency according to the design standards regarding the quantity and quality of water produced.
