Emergency maintenance works carried out during and after the Israeli aggression, funded by the Red Cross and UNICEF, as part of a pre-prepared emergency plan.
A glimpse of the emergency maintenance works carried out by CMWU during and after the end of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the municipalities of the Gaza Strip and funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross and UNICEF.
It is worth noting that the works and interventions implemented during the aggression came within the framework of the emergency plan prepared earlier in cooperation between CMWU, the Red Cross, the Strip's municipalities, and the Water Authority, which relies on equipping emergency warehouses in all governorates aiming to provide the spare parts needed for maintenance and preparing emergency maintenance contracts through local contracting companies, and the emergency warehouse funded by UNICEF and CMWU's main warehouses were also used.
Quantities of diesel fuel were also distributed to operate the power generators of sewage pumping stations and water wells, funded by UNICEF and the Red Cross, in addition to continuing to disinfect wells and water sources, funded by the German development organization GIZ.
