The maintenance and rehabilitation works in their first phase included maintaining the well's various components, as well as test pumping works, in addition to supplying a new electric generator to operate the well, with support from UNICEF.

These works aim to increase the well's production efficiency and improve water service in the areas benefiting from the well, particularly given current conditions.
