As part of developing and documenting the relationship and exploring future prospects for joint work that serves residents' interests, CMWU's Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan, accompanied by CMWU's Director-General Eng. Monther Shoblaq and Mr. Mamdouh Al-Ghazali, Deputy Director-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, recently paid two separate visits to Khan Younis and Rafah municipalities, meeting with the mayors to discuss and consult with each other on raising efficiency and improving the services provided to residents.
Eng. Monther Shoblaq stated that the visit by the Utility's Board Chairman Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan to Rafah Municipality and his meeting with its new Mayor Dr. Anwar Al-Shaer came as an affirmation of the integrated work between the Utility and the municipalities in order to advance the services provided to residents, with Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan congratulating Rafah Municipality's Mayor during the visit on his new position, wishing him success in serving the city and its residents.
In the same context, Eng. Monther Shoblaq described the meeting with Khan Younis Municipality's Mayor Eng. Alaa Al-Din Al-Batta as highly important, with the meeting addressing preparations for the procedures to transfer the water and sanitation departments, particularly from the major municipalities, from the municipalities to CMWU, with work to be done on forming joint committees from the Utility and the municipalities to prepare for the technical, administrative, and financial transfer processes, affirming that this measure would contribute to improving and raising the efficiency of the service provided to residents.
