Supplying Six Water and Sanitation Facilities with Integrated Solar Power Systems
CMWU supplied six water and sanitation facilities with integrated solar power systems, funded by the Kuwait Fund for Development through UNICEF and in cooperation with the Water Authority, with the project including installing integrated power systems for Al-Aqsa water reservoir, "Al-Baraka" sewage pumping station in Deir al-Balah city, and Al-Zohour reservoir in Rafah, in addition to Teca reservoir in Jabalia, the market reservoir, Al-Furqan desalination plant in Nuseirat, and the Turkish water well in Khan Younis.
This project aims to ease the repercussions of the electricity crisis on the operation of those facilities, in addition to reducing operating costs and working to operate those facilities for the greatest possible number of residents, particularly with the approaching summer season, in order to ensure the continued supply of services to residents, as those facilities serve a large number of residents in the areas where they are located.
