CMWU, in partnership with Al-Maghazi Municipality and the International Committee of the Red Cross, operated and prepared the Al-Muhajireen well in Al-Maghazi camp, as part of its efforts to improve water services in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The well operates with a production capacity of up to 40 cubic meters/hour via a submersible pump with a capacity of 20 horsepower, connected to the distribution network via a 160-meter water line.

The Utility provided the machinery and workers as part of the heavy machinery and equipment rental project funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, in addition to providing the electrical panel and cables needed to operate the pump and generator.

The Utility affirmed that the operation of the Al-Muhajireen well is part of its ongoing commitment, in cooperation with the municipalities and international institutions, to improve water services and ease the severity of the current crisis in the Gaza Strip.
