CMWU's crews installed two collapsible water tanks fixed on the roof with a total capacity of 15,000 liters, funded by UNICEF, at Qatar/Hamad Hospital in Rafah city, in order to supply displaced persons with drinking water.
It is worth noting that these tanks are filled daily via the desalinated water tankers affiliated with CMWU.
CMWU continues to work in cooperation with the municipalities of the Gaza Strip to repair the damage sustained by water and sanitation networks and facilities as a result of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, in order to continue supplying residents with water and sanitation services and prevent the collapse of this vital sector, by working to provide spare parts from CMWU's warehouses and the emergency warehouses funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, in addition to CMWU's crews supporting the emergency teams affiliated with the municipalities of the Gaza Strip in carrying out various emergency maintenance works.
On the other hand, as part of the program to supply and distribute diesel fuel to water and sanitation facilities, in cooperation and coordination with UNICEF and through UNRWA, CMWU daily supplies water and sanitation facilities with diesel fuel in order to operate the electric generators at those facilities.
CMWU also continues to supply shelter centers in schools, universities, and official and random displacement camps in the central and southern Gaza Strip with drinking water via water tankers.
