Installation of Rubber Water Tanks at Unserved Shelter Centers with Support from UNICEF

CMWU, with support from UNICEF, installed rubber tanks at shelter centers in Deir al-Balah, Nuseirat, Al-Zawayda, Khan Younis, Gaza, and the north not served by water networks.

As part of ongoing efforts to provide drinking water, CMWU, in cooperation with UNICEF, installed 5-cubic-meter rubber water tanks at a number of shelter centers and population centers not served by water networks across all areas of the Gaza Strip, with the installation covering a number of shelter centers in Deir al-Balah, Nuseirat, Al-Zawayda, and various areas of Khan Younis Governorate, in addition to shelter centers and residential neighborhoods in Gaza City and North Governorate.

This project aims to ease the suffering of displaced persons and residents by ensuring drinking water reaches the target areas, with the tanks filled regularly via the water utility's desalinated water tankers.

This comes as a continuation of CMWU's efforts to serve residents and displaced persons and secure basic needs, particularly given the difficult conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
