Installation of 41 Chlorination Units at Water Wells in Gaza, Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Khan Younis with Support from the Red Cross

CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, installed 41 chlorination units at wells in Gaza, Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Khan Younis.

In order to strengthen the disinfection, chlorination, and purification systems operating at the water production and pumping wells in various areas of the Gaza Strip, and in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, CMWU has completed the supply and installation of 41 integrated chlorine injection and pumping units at 41 water wells, including 22 wells in Gaza Municipality, 10 wells in Jabalia Municipality, in addition to 3 wells in Beit Lahia Municipality and 6 wells in Khan Younis Municipality, which will protect water production and distribution systems from any contamination factors and strengthen public health levels for residents and displaced persons wherever they are, and prevent any pathogenic causes that could leak into the water system.
