CMWU distributes desalinated water in Khan Younis via Emirati Red Crescent tankers to encourage residents' return.
To strengthen the resilience of citizens in Khan Younis Governorate and encourage them to return to their homes, CMWU is distributing desalinated water using the tankers received from the Emirati Red Crescent recently, with the water source being the South desalination plant west of Khan Younis city. The water utility is also currently repairing desalination plants in east Khan Younis, and a tender has been issued to repair the Cultural Center desalination plant in Bani Suheila and the Al-Ma'sara desalination plant, in addition to some wells.
