CMWU continues overseeing the implementation of the rehabilitation works for the "Al-Uroubi" rainwater collection basin in Al-Fukhari, Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The works include cleaning the Al-Fukhari basin and constructing a fence around the basin, in order to protect residents, especially children, from the risk of falling into the basin.
The project also included constructing a rainwater line for the "Sha'at" rainwater collection basin in Khan Younis city, with the aim of transferring rainwater from areas exposed to flooding to the collection basin and easing the severity of weather depressions, in addition to protecting residents and their properties from the risks of rainwater flooding, especially in the neighborhoods in the southeast of the city, and this comes with funding from Save the Children and in cooperation with Khan Younis and Al-Fukhari municipalities.
