CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, maintained wells in Nuseirat, Wadi Al-Salqa, Sheikh Radwan, Rafah Mawasi, and Al-Aqsa University in Khan Younis to ensure continued water supply.
CMWU, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross, and in cooperation with the municipalities within whose jurisdiction these wells are located, carried out emergency maintenance work on a number of water wells in the Gaza Strip, as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the continuity of water supply to citizens amid the difficult conditions imposed by the Israeli war.
In the Central Governorate, the works included maintaining the Al-Intisar water well in Nuseirat camp, and the Al-Ma'sara water well in Wadi Al-Salqa town.
In Gaza City, maintenance work was carried out on the Sheikh Radwan 7 (Al-Yarmouk) well, contributing to strengthening the continuity of water pumping and improving the level of service provided to residents.
The technical crews also repaired the pump of the Al-Attar camp well in Rafah Mawasi, given its importance in serving large numbers of displaced persons in the area.
In Khan Younis Governorate, the crews also carried out maintenance on the well serving the Al-Aqsa University shelter center west of the city, given its vital role in supplying shelter centers with water.
These interventions serve large numbers of residents and displaced persons in the target areas, at a time when water infrastructure faces major challenges as a result of current conditions.
The Utility affirmed that its technical crews continue to work continuously to carry out emergency maintenance and rapid intervention in various areas, reducing disruptions and improving water access for citizens and meeting their basic needs at this critical stage.
