Maintaining and rehabilitating the water network in Ammar bin Yasser area in Gaza, as part of the repair project funded by the Dutch Relief Alliance in partnership with Oxfam.
CMWU, in partnership with Oxfam, began carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation works on the water network in Ammar bin Yasser area in Gaza city, as part of the project to repair and maintain water and sanitation networks in various areas of Gaza city and Beit Lahia, and work is also currently underway to rehabilitate the water network in the Ard Al-Ghoul area in Gaza city, in cooperation with Gaza Municipality, with these networks serving about 4,000 people.
During the past few days, and as part of this project's works, sanitation networks were also maintained and rehabilitated in Al-Seifa and Subeih areas, in addition to Awad Street area in Beit Lahia city.
This project comes as part of Oxfam's emergency response plan for water and sanitation services for affected communities in the Gaza Strip.
This project also includes maintaining and rehabilitating the water network in several areas of Gaza city, including around the Al-Jarjawi area near the Saraya intersection, in addition to rehabilitating the sanitation network on Baghdad Street and Al-Yarmouk Street, which sustained severe damage during the recent war on the Gaza Strip.
