CMWU, funded by Oxfam, repaired the sanitation network in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah to remove a significant health hazard.
Aiming to remove the health and environmental hazard, CMWU, funded by Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association and in cooperation with Deir al-Balah Municipality, maintained and repaired the sanitation network in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah city, which sustained severe damage as a result of Israeli bombardment, causing a significant health and environmental hazard in the area that affected all the area's residents. Work will also be carried out to clean the street of the effects of this health and environmental hazard.
It is worth noting that the materials and spare parts needed for the maintenance process were supplied from the materials supplied by UNICEF.
The water utility is still following up on all maintenance and operation needs for the various municipalities of the Gaza Strip, despite the difficult conditions and scarce resources.
