CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, maintained the S-103 Al-Muntazah well west of Al-Maghazi camp, the main source for the local desalination plant.

CMWU, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, and in cooperation with Al-Maghazi Municipality, carried out maintenance works on the S-103 Al-Muntazah water well located west of Al-Maghazi camp, central Gaza Strip.

The works included emergency maintenance of the well's pump and repairing the technical faults affecting it, to ensure its normal continued operation. This well is a main water source, serving more than 6,000 residents of the area, and the desalination plant affiliated with Al-Maghazi Municipality also relies on this same well as its main water source, with the plant contributing to supplying residents and displaced persons with drinking water.

This intervention is part of efforts aimed at improving the water service provided to residents amid the difficult conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
