CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, restored operation of the new Al-Wakala well in Al-Maghazi after it was destroyed.
After being destroyed by the Israeli occupation, CMWU, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, maintained the new Al-Wakala well in Al-Maghazi and restored it to service, with the works including maintaining the pumping system and the electric motor, as well as maintaining the well's manifold and reconnecting it to the water distribution network.
These works come as an emergency response to maintenance requests in the various municipalities of the Gaza Strip amid the severe shortage of materials needed to carry out maintenance work.
