Maintenance of the Lines Feeding the Ma'an Reservoir with Mekorot Water in Khan Younis Funded by GIZ

CMWU, funded by the German GIZ, maintained the lines feeding the Ma'an reservoir with Mekorot water in Khan Younis.

CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, and funded by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), began carrying out maintenance and repair works on the lines feeding the Ma'an reservoir with Mekorot water in Khan Younis city.

These efforts are part of ongoing endeavors to improve water services and strengthen network efficiency, ensuring water reaches the various beneficiary neighborhoods and areas. The maintenance works include repairing and replacing damaged lines, and installing the necessary valves, aiming to strengthen the network's capacity to pump water to the Ma'an area and other areas of Khan Younis city.

The Utility affirmed that these works will contribute to improving water distribution efficiency, reducing losses, and ensuring water reaches citizens more regularly, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to develop water infrastructure in the Strip.
