CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, maintained several wells in Sheikh Radwan, Nuseirat, Jabalia, and Wadi Al-Salqa that were damaged during the war.
CMWU, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out maintenance works on several water wells in the Gaza Strip, including:
- The Sheikh Radwan 7 water well in the Al-Yarmouk area
- The Sheikh Radwan 10 water well in Gaza City
- The Al-Hindi water well west of Nuseirat, central Strip
While work continues on maintaining:
- The Arjuni water well in Jabalia city, north of the Strip
- The Western Wadi Al-Salqa well in the Central Governorate
These wells serve thousands of residents in the surrounding areas, and sustained severe damage during the recent war, negatively affecting water service and the supply of citizens' minimum needs.
These works aim to improve the quality and efficiency of water services and ensure the continued supply of water to residents amid the current difficult conditions facing the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that, in recent days and as part of this project's works, the water utility has carried out a series of maintenance works covering many water wells in different locations across the Gaza Strip.
