
The Chairman of the Water Authority inspects the damage to Al-Muntada sewage pumping station west of Gaza, which led to sewage being discharged directly into the sea.
CMWU received His Excellency the Chairman of the Palestinian Water Authority Eng. Mazen Ghunaim, at "Al-Muntada" sewage pumping station west of Gaza city, with the visit aiming to review the extent of the damage sustained by the pumping station, as this station sustained severe damage as a result of Israeli bombardment during the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip, which led to the pumping of sewage water coming from areas west of Gaza directly into the sea, as it is considered one of the central stations in Gaza city and serves about 40,000 people.
The Chairman of the Water Authority was received by CMWU's Director-General Eng. Monther Shoblaq, the Director of the Central Gaza Sanitation Project Management Unit Eng. Fareed Ashour, and the Director-General of Sanitation at Gaza Municipality Eng. Anwar Al-Jundi.
