CMWU received a field trip for a number of students of the Faculty of Engineering at the Islamic University, at the Central Sewage Treatment Plant east of the Central Governorate, where they were received by the plant's Deputy Director Eng. Ahmed Shaqfa and Eng. Yasser Abu Aoun, and the plant's operating technical staff.

This trip included an explanation of the plant's working mechanism and its important role in preserving the environment, in addition to a field tour to learn about the plant's components.

It is worth noting that CMWU places great importance on field trips aimed at developing the capacities and skills of engineering crews in the Gaza Strip, as CMWU receives, throughout the year, numerous field trips at the various water and sanitation facilities it manages in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
