CMWU, in cooperation with EcoPeace Middle East and Al-Qarara Municipality, completed the rehabilitation of Al-Matāhin Al-Jadeed Water Well, which had been completely destroyed in Al-Qarara. The intervention aims to strengthen water sources and improve access to water for residents and displaced people.
The works included the necessary electromechanical maintenance of the pump and manifold, the supply and installation of a new electrical control panel, and the construction of a metal shelter to protect the well components. The works also included installing a metal shelter to protect the components of Abu Mariziq Water Well.
These works aim to strengthen water sources in densely populated areas hosting displaced people. The Al-Mawasi Al-Qarara areas will be supplied with water through Al-Matāhin Al-Jadeed Water Well, and the project is expected to benefit approximately 80,000 people, contributing to improved water access and alleviating the hardship faced by residents amid the current humanitarian conditions.
