CMWU, funded by UNICEF, transported 4,000 liters of chlorine solution to Jabalia, Gaza, and Beit Lahia for the first time since the start of the war.
For the first time since the start of the war on Gaza, CMWU, through coordination with and funding from UNICEF, succeeded in arranging the transport and supply of 4,000 liters of chlorine solution to Jabalia, with the chlorine solution containers transported from the South seawater desalination plant in Deir al-Balah and delivered at the Abu Rashid station, for the purpose of disinfecting and purifying the water produced from wells and pumped into the distribution networks in the areas of Gaza Municipality, Jabalia Municipality, and Beit Lahia, which will have a positive impact on citizens' public health and remove any contamination causes from the water supply system.
It is worth noting that the water utility, amid population overcrowding and displacement operations, is still intensifying work on the well water disinfection and purification program in the central and southern governorates, and providing all the necessary supplies for this, from chlorination solution, injection equipment, and spare parts.
