CMWU supplied tens of thousands of displaced persons stranded near the Netzarim checkpoint with water via its tankers, and appealed to international organizations for urgent intervention.
CMWU today, since early morning, has mobilized its water tankers with various capacities (5, 10, and 23 m3) all along Salah Al-Din and Rasheed Roads in order to provide drinking water for tens of thousands of IDPs who are stuck before the Netzarim checkpoint waiting for crossing to Gaza and the northern governorates.
The IDPs have been suffering since last night from severe humanitarian conditions while trying to cross to Gaza and the north, resulting from the lack of basic services and the minimum life conditions.
In this regard, CMWU is appealing to all international humanitarian organizations to urgently provide all necessary humanitarian assistance in order to mitigate the suffering of our people while they make their way back to their neighborhoods and homes in Gaza and the north.
