CMWU, with support from the Red Cross, launched a comprehensive assessment of water supply needs in Al-Mawasi to identify intervention priorities.
CMWU began implementing a project to assess water supply needs in Al-Mawasi area, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross and in cooperation with relevant parties, aiming to strengthen the state of water services and respond to existing needs in the area.
The project aims to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the water supply system in the area, including wells, water networks, and supply lines, in order to identify existing needs, catalogue the challenges facing the water system, and develop a vision for the interventions required to improve water services in a way that meets the needs of residents and displaced persons in the area.
A coordination meeting was held today, attended by representatives of CMWU and a number of relevant parties, during which implementation mechanisms for the project were discussed, the state of the water supply system in Al-Mawasi was reviewed, and needs, priorities, and existing challenges were identified, in preparation for carrying out the assessment work and developing a vision for the required interventions.
This project is part of the response to urgent, life-saving needs, and within the framework of joint efforts to strengthen water services and improve the supply system, contributing to the provision of water to residents and displaced persons in the area, given the current humanitarian conditions.
