CMWU Receives a Technical Delegation from the German Development Bank KfW

CMWU received a technical delegation from the German Development Bank KfW, at its main headquarters in Al-Zahra city, central Gaza Strip, to discuss preparations for implementing important new rainwater projects in the Gaza Strip during the coming period, and to visit a number of projects funded by KfW, in addition to reviewing the reality of water and sanitation in the Gaza Strip and reviewing the most notable efforts made by CMWU to improve the quality of the service provided to the Strip's residents.
They were received by CMWU's Executive Director Eng. Monther Shoblaq, his Deputy for Engineering and Planning Eng. Maher Al-Najjar, his Deputy for Technical Affairs Eng. Omar Shatat, and the Director of the Central Gaza Sanitation Project Eng. Fareed Ashour, and the visiting delegation included the Technical Director of Projects at the German Development Bank Ms. Anja Volk, Mr. Wadah Al-Hamdallah (Deputy Director of the KfW office), and Mr. Bert Hagenkort, Energy Projects Consultant at KfW.
In turn, Eng. Monther Shoblaq welcomed the delegation's visit, expressing his great gratitude for the support provided by the German Development Bank, and expressing his hope that this would continue in order to continue the process of upgrading and developing the water and sanitation sector in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation then visited the sewage treatment plant east of the Central Governorate and Wadi Gaza, sewage pumping station No. 1, which sustained severe damage during the recent war, and Sheikh Ajlin station in Gaza city, with the participation of Eng. Majed Ayke and Eng. Hossam Badawi, representatives of the German consulting office Dorsch.
