CMWU began implementing a project to connect sewage pumping stations adjacent to Wadi Gaza to the electrical power network of the Central treatment plant east of Al-Bureij, with these stations to be connected to the renewable electrical power sources at the Central treatment plant, which are provided from the biogas generated by the treatment process, in addition to the solar power plant constructed on the project's site.
