CMWU Begins Development Works at the Central Sewage Pumping Station North of the Gaza Strip

As part of its efforts to raise the efficiency of and develop the sewage system in the Gaza Strip, CMWU, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, began carrying out development works at the Central sewage pumping station north of the Gaza Strip, with the development works including constructing a concrete culvert and some mechanical works at the station, aiming to raise the station's efficiency in addition to accommodating the quantities of sewage water that overflow during peak hours and during the rainy season, which leads to preventing the formation of health hazards.
It is worth noting that the Central sewage pumping station in North Gaza is considered one of the most important sanitation facilities in that area, receiving all the sewage water coming from the sub-stations and pumping it to the treatment plant in the north of the Strip.
