CMWU Continues Its Efforts to Address the Health Hazard in the Al-Bassa Area of Deir al-Balah

As part of its ongoing efforts to improve health and environmental conditions in the Al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah city, central Gaza Strip, CMWU, funded by the World Food Programme (WFP) and in cooperation with Deir al-Balah Municipality, carried out repair and maintenance works on the emergency sewage transmission line for the Al-Bassa sewage pumping station, located west of Deir al-Balah city, central Gaza Strip.

This intervention comes to address the health hazard the area is suffering from, which has negatively affected the lives of residents and displaced persons, requiring an urgent response to ease citizens' suffering, particularly amid the continuing Israeli war and the intense waves of displacement Deir al-Balah city has witnessed since the start of the war.

The water utility affirms its commitment to continuing work with its partners to improve conditions in the area and ensure a healthy, safe environment for citizens.
