CMWU Continues Implementing the Sanitation Network Repair and Rehabilitation Project in Al-Amal Neighborhood in Khan Younis
CMWU continues implementing the sanitation network repair and rehabilitation project in Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis city, particularly after it sustained severe damage as a result of Israeli military operations in the city, in field coordination with the Palestinian Water Authority, funded by Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association and Khan Younis Municipality.
This project is part of the water utility's emergency plan to repair the sanitation system in Khan Younis, with the work including repairing 1.3 kilometers of main sanitation networks and maintaining manholes.
The work is expected to be completed in early December 2024, and the project will also address the health hazard on the streets of Al-Amal neighborhood and the entrance to the Al-Wakala industrial area in Khan Younis.
