CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, repaired water and sanitation lines in north Nuseirat after the Israeli withdrawal, including the transmission line between Al-Mughraqa and Nuseirat.
CMWU Continues Its Efforts to Repair the Damage in North Nuseirat After the Israeli Withdrawal
Following the Israeli withdrawal from the areas of north Nuseirat, CMWU began assessing the damage sustained by water and sanitation infrastructure, and began maintenance and repair works to ensure the continuity of essential services for citizens, particularly after the significant damage sustained by water and sanitation facilities and networks in those areas.
In this context, the water utility, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Nuseirat Municipality, maintained the main transmission line between Al-Mughraqa town and Nuseirat, in addition to carrying out a number of important repairs in scattered areas of north Nuseirat. The maintenance works included repairing sanitation and water lines in several areas, with a 70-meter main sanitation line repaired on Omar Bin Al-Khattab Street in the New Camp and a 35-meter line on Al-Taqa Street branching off Omar Bin Al-Khattab Street. The repairs also included secondary sanitation lines, with 42 meters of lines replaced on Darwish Street north of Muadh Bin Jabal Mosque and Dhu Al-Nurayn Street west of the mosque, alongside 120 meters of lines on Hassan Al-Banna Mosque Street and Al-Taqa Street.
Regarding the water network, the maintenance works included replacing 48 meters of water lines at the entrance to the Al-Mufti area and the Muadh Bin Jabal Mosque area, in addition to 100 meters of water lines at the entrance to the New Camp and Mohsen Al-Banna Mosque Street, to ensure water reaches residents and improve the services provided to citizens.
