CMWU Continues Work on the Project to Separate Rainwater Lines from Sewage Lines in Al-Jineina Neighborhood Area in Rafah

As part of CMWU's efforts aimed at improving and strengthening the readiness of the rainwater drainage and sanitation system to receive the winter season, in order to reduce the risks of storms and flooding to residents and their property and make the most of rainwater, CMWU continues work on the project to separate rainwater lines from sewage lines in Al-Jineina area in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, funded by the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs "OCHA" through the Norwegian Refugee Council, with this project also including preparing Al-Jineina basin for rainwater collection, in addition to replacing the old sewage networks in Tal Al-Sultan area.
The project to separate the sewage and rainwater networks and prepare the basins in Al-Jineina neighborhood area aims to make the most of rainwater, in addition to ending the suffering of residents of the area near the basins from the health hazards resulting from rainwater accumulating in the basins and mixing with sewage water.
It is worth noting that CMWU has, over the past months and years, implemented numerous projects aiming to prepare and improve the readiness of sewage and rainwater facilities to receive the winter season in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
