As part of its preparations for the winter season, CMWU continues cleaning rainwater filters in all neighborhoods and areas of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to rehabilitate them, raise their efficiency, and clean them of debris and dust that negatively affect the rainwater drainage process, in order to ensure the safety of traffic movement on the roads and prevent residents' homes from flooding, particularly in low-lying areas.

In addition, CMWU's crews carried out maintenance on a number of sewage manholes in various locations in Rafah city, to prevent sewage overflow and the formation of health hazards harmful to residents of those areas.
