Gaza – CMWU

CMWU, in cooperation with Deir al-Balah Municipality and funded by Anera, implemented the project to construct a sanitation network in Al-Batta neighborhood in Deir al-Balah city, central Gaza Strip, with the project including constructing a 1.5km sanitation network in the neighborhood of various diameters.

This neighborhood suffers from the absence of a sanitation network and residents' reliance on cesspits, which negatively affect the environment, and this project serves about 5,000 people.

It is worth noting that CMWU had, during the past few days, funded by Anera, constructed a sanitation network in the Street No. 9 area west of Gaza city and Al-Hurriya Street, 1,000 meters long, in addition to closing off old cesspits that had become a danger to residents' health and the environment, and had also constructed a sanitation network in various areas of Beit Hanoun town, north of the Gaza Strip, in the Al-Nazaza and Al-Masriyeen areas and other various areas of the town, particularly places lacking a safe sanitation system.
