CMWU Completes Works to Strengthen Water Supplies at the Japanese Tohoku Housing in Khan Younis
CMWU crews, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, completed works to connect a new water line to strengthen the water sources feeding the Japanese Tohoku housing area in Khan Younis city, as part of urgent interventions to serve residents and displaced persons amid the continuing war.
The Utility explained that the new line was connected to the Al-Satar water reservoir, which contributed to improving the quantities of water flowing to the densely populated area, and ensuring the stability of supplies to meet the growing daily needs of about 20,000 residents and displaced persons.
CMWU affirmed that this effort is part of its emergency plan to support citizens' resilience, and secure essential services in the most affected areas, while continuing to implement other interventions to ensure the continuity of water access in various areas.
