CMWU Carries Out Emergency Maintenance of the Al-Sahel 6 Well in Deir al-Balah
CMWU crews, in cooperation with Deir al-Balah Municipality, carried out emergency maintenance on the Al-Sahel 6 well in Deir al-Balah city, following a sudden fault that affected the well's operational efficiency. The well has a production capacity of 70 cubic meters per hour.
This well feeds the Birka water reservoir, which supplies wide areas of the city, requiring rapid intervention by the Utility's crews, particularly amid the emergency conditions imposed by the war, which have doubled the need to ensure the continuity of water supply without any interruption.
The maintenance works included repairing the faults, particularly maintaining the well's manifold, and restoring the well to operation in record time, as part of the Utility's ongoing efforts to maintain the stability of services provided to citizens.
The Utility affirmed that it continues to respond quickly to emergency faults, despite field challenges, aiming to ensure water reaches residents regularly and safely.
