Gaza / CMWU

CMWU, funded by "Human Appeal UK", distributed sodium hypochlorite to all water wells and sources in the Gaza Strip, to chlorinate drinking water in order to protect it from contamination during transport and distribution across the networks spread throughout all cities of the Gaza Strip.

CMWU continues, periodically and with funding from numerous international and relief institutions working in the water sector, to disinfect all water and sanitation facilities in the Strip, in addition to supplying workers in water and sanitation services affiliated with CMWU and the Gaza Strip's municipalities with protective clothing against the coronavirus.

These interventions come in the context of CMWU's program aiming to strengthen coronavirus-related preventive measures and protect workers in the water and sanitation sector from the risks of the pandemic's spread, in addition to enabling them to carry out their work to ensure the continued provision of services to residents, particularly amid the coronavirus pandemic and its repercussions on various aspects of life.
