CMWU, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, laid water lines to the new quarantine center in Deir al-Balah city, central Gaza Strip, aiming to supply residents who will be quarantined inside the center with water suitable for their various needs.

This project comes in the context of CMWU's efforts aimed at strengthening precautionary measures related to the novel coronavirus, with CMWU having previously extended water and sanitation networks to the field hospital west of Rafah, which has been prepared to receive coronavirus patients, in addition to disinfecting all water wells and sewage treatment plants in all areas of the Gaza Strip and supplying all workers in water services at CMWU and the Gaza Strip's municipalities with safety and security equipment.
