CMWU, in cooperation with the Electricity Distribution Company and Nuseirat and Abasan Al-Kabira municipalities, secured permanent electricity power lines for "Al-Husseiniya" sewage pumping station in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip, and for the groundwater reservoir in Abasan Al-Kabira town, Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip, as these facilities serve a large number of residents in those areas, and connecting them to permanent power sources leads to improving the water and sanitation services provided to residents.

This project comes as part of the "Raising Emergency Preparedness" program funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, with this program aiming to secure permanent sources of electrical power for water and sanitation facilities in various areas of the Gaza Strip, in order to ensure their operation, particularly in emergency situations.
