CMWU Carries Out Maintenance on the Electricity Generator of "Sheikh Zayed" Water Well in Beit Lahia

Gaza / CMWU

CMWU, in cooperation with Beit Lahia Municipality and funded by the Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) through Oxfam and in partnership with the Palestinian Environmental Friends (PEF) Association, carried out maintenance on the electricity generator of "Sheikh Zayed" water well in Beit Lahia city, north of the Gaza Strip, aiming to operate the well for the greatest possible number of hours, which leads to improving the water service provided to residents, as that well serves residents of Sheikh Zayed and Qulaiba neighborhoods, whose population is 10,000 people.

It is worth noting that this project aims, first and foremost, to contribute to strengthening the capacity of CMWU and the municipalities to provide their services to residents, particularly amid the difficult circumstances and weak capabilities faced by water service providers in the Gaza Strip.
