CMWU Carries Out Maintenance on a Number of Sewage Manholes in Rafah

CMWU's crews at its regional headquarters in Rafah carried out emergency maintenance on a number of sewage manholes in various areas of Rafah city, south of the Strip, in order to ensure that sewage water does not overflow into the roads and public places, to preserve the city's health and environmental appearance, and to protect residents, particularly children, from the risk of falling into those manholes as a result of their damaged covers.
It is worth noting that CMWU's crews in Rafah carry out numerous emergency maintenance works for various water and sanitation facilities in Rafah city, in addition to following up on and addressing residents' complaints received daily, with CMWU's crews in Rafah continuing to work around the clock since the imposition of the curfew and the declaration of the state of emergency in the Gaza Strip, in order to ensure the continued provision of services to residents in Rafah governorate, particularly amid the current crisis the Strip is going through as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and its repercussions on all aspects of life.
