CMWU Begins Developing and Repairing Water Networks in Al-Amal Neighborhood in Khan Younis
CMWU, with support from the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, began implementing works to develop and repair water networks in Al-Amal neighborhood and the housing blocks affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Khan Younis city, southern Gaza Strip.
These works include supplying and installing water lines with diameters of 4, 6, and 8 inches, and 50mm, in addition to the necessary connections and equipment and connecting homes to the network, contributing to improving the efficiency and sustainability of water service.
It is worth noting that the water network in these areas sustained severe damage as a result of Israeli bombardment during the war, which led to a decline in the level of service and increased residents' suffering. About 50,000 citizens benefit from this project, as part of efforts aimed at improving the state of water services in the affected areas.
