CMWU and the Water Sector Regulatory Council held a training course titled "Explaining the Model for Collecting and Reviewing Performance Indicator Report Data," at the Utility's headquarters in Gaza, with generous funding from the Water Program in the Palestinian Territories and the German Corporation for Technical Cooperation (GIZ).
60 employees of the water and sanitation sector from all municipalities of the Gaza Strip and CMWU, working in the billing and accounts departments and operation engineers, are participating in this course.
Consultant Ramez Al-Madhoun, consultant to the Water Sector Regulatory Council, affirmed the importance of this course in enabling and training the employees of the Gaza Strip's municipalities and CMWU on how and the mechanism for collecting and analyzing the data necessary for the performance indicator report in the water and sanitation sectors in their municipalities, in order to obtain accurate information and produce correct indicators that reflect the reality of performance, in order to advance the level of services provided to residents.
Al-Madhoun pointed out that the information in this course works to provide employees with the skills necessary to collect and verify the financial and operational data in the municipalities necessary to produce the performance indicator report published at the national level by the Water Sector Regulatory Council.
