A presentation on the sewage treatment plant project east of the Central Governorate, the largest treatment plant in Palestine, relying on renewable energy from biogas and solar cells.
#TheSewageTreatmentPlantProjectEastOfTheCentralGovernorate
This project is considered one of the most important strategic projects implemented in the nation's governorates, as the plant is the largest in Palestine and relies on the latest technology in the treatment process, which mainly relies on generating electric power from the biogas produced by the treatment process, in addition to constructing a renewable energy generation unit via solar cells with a capacity of 3.5 megawatts, which will enable the treatment plant to rely on its own renewable energy sources and thereby limit the effect of the electricity crisis on the continuation of its high-efficiency operation, and contribute to improving the Palestinian environment and protecting the groundwater aquifer, and ending the environmental disaster in the Gaza Valley area by receiving sewage water coming from all areas of the Central Governorate and Gaza city, treating it safely, and re-pumping it into the Gaza Valley watercourse.
