CMWU, in cooperation with UNICEF, continues disinfecting drinking and domestic water through chlorination systems at wells, tanks, and desalination plants.
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen and secure public health requirements, CMWU continues to carry out its specialized work in disinfecting drinking and domestic water, in cooperation with UNICEF, to ensure safe, usable water reaches citizens across the various areas of the Gaza Strip.
These efforts include installing, operating, and maintaining chlorination and disinfection systems at water production and pumping facilities, including wells, tanks, and desalination plants, in addition to supplying all facilities with the sodium hypochlorite needed for continuous disinfection operations, ensuring water quality is maintained and health standards are complied with.
These interventions come particularly amid the difficult conditions facing the Strip as a result of the war and the collapse of the healthcare system, which makes securing safe, healthy water a matter of critical importance to protect residents' health and prevent the spread of disease.
