
The desalination plant at the water utility's warehouses west of Khan Younis (1,200 cubic meters per day) serves densely displaced areas via tanker and gallon filling points.
The desalination plant affiliated with CMWU, installed inside the main warehouses west of Khan Younis Governorate, continues its daily operation, amid the emergency conditions, to secure quantities of drinking water for residents and displaced persons in the densely displaced areas west of the city.
The plant has a production capacity of about 1,200 cubic meters per day, and was established during the ongoing war, to meet the urgent needs of citizens, and has effectively contributed to providing water in those areas witnessing intense waves of displacement.
The plant is one of the main sources of drinking water, with water tankers filled via a dedicated point, in addition to gallon filling points for displaced persons residing in the surrounding areas, contributing to improving access to safe water under these difficult humanitarian conditions.
