Addressing the Effects of the Recent Rain Wave in Rafah

CMWU's crews in Rafah addressed problems from the recent rain wave, which recorded 45mm since yesterday evening.

CMWU's crews in Rafah addressed and followed up on all problems resulting from rainfall during the recent rain wave, in order to protect residents and their homes from the risks of rainwater flooding and prevent the disruption of vehicle and resident movement in the streets, as the rate of rainfall on Rafah city reached 45mm from yesterday evening until today.

It is worth noting that CMWU had, during the past period, prepared for the winter season by equipping sewage pumping stations and carrying out maintenance on numerous sanitation lines and rainwater drains, in addition to implementing numerous rainwater projects and rehabilitating the sewage treatment plant in Rafah city, with those preparations and equipment having a great impact in easing the effects of the weather depressions on the city.
