CMWU, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Al-Bureij Municipality, implemented a project to open and clean the main concrete rainwater drainage channel on Salah Al-Din Street, which is the main artery for water drainage in the Central Governorate's municipalities.
The channel near Wadi Gaza had been destroyed during the war, causing it to be completely blocked and preventing rainwater from reaching the wadi, which posed a risk of water flow and accumulation near residential areas.
This intervention aims to restore the channel's ability to drain rainwater naturally toward Wadi Gaza, reducing the risks of flooding and protecting residential areas.
